NYE 2007 in chi-town - we came, we danced, we conquered ;)

so my lovely wife could not make up her mind 'till the veeeeeeeery last min (as in - THE day of sylwester - aka new year's eve) as were d hell are we going to go for the NYE party ... thank god to heather's knowledge of people in high places ... we "crashed" this "black tie NYE ... house party" (i was forced to wear a suit & a tie ... which i lost 10 min into the event - i mean who d hell throws house ... black TIE "party" ?  ).
once we got there, we immediately borough in the "soul" (james brown's kinda sould b*atch!  ). yeees, it was very stiff in there at first ... although, as we found out soon, the "man of the night" - guy who did throw the party, end up being a very relaxed cool dude (& his lovely "significant other" as well ... she's a freak ). "d party" was also: catered ... had a dj ... photographer & ... most importantly open bar ... i love them people!
20 min into "d party" we started dancing & next thing u know ... we got the party started! 1/2 hour into "d party" half of the guests joined us & it was boogie down for all.
all in all, we had a blast though - thx to our guest's kick ass place - 3200 sq feet loft & a super atmosphere (ps most photos were taken by john mireles)

i've read somewhere "drink in moderation during ur co's holiday party" ... i mean if u need someone to tell u this ... maybe u shouldn't go ...
well, i did overdue a bit last year, so this year i decided to "behave" ... especially that my organization has 80% of female workers. other miss-behavior: me & danusia were suspectfully "dressed the same" & melinda had bit too much fun
u can see how much everyone had ... of course me, myself & i had a silly face when taking a shot w/ the prez. of the org.

1st weekend in killington 2006-2007

* blackout
- 12 people in the pickle ... & 10 min. after we got there .... electricity went out - "party at the sno-ho!". lee ordered the herd into the back of his truck & soon after us & couple of strangers were lighlin up the place with ... cell phones - & later in the candle light
- after party - no electricity promotes human contact! so there were rumors of some leg cramps later
* sugar n spice - brunch - "they don't serve bloody marry's here???"
* garlic on sat
- great dinner w/ our new hause mates
- jay's increditble hand writing / person's character discovery skills - eg. Lee is passionet, but doesn't respoect authority (or something like that
- "melissa with pickle in the garlic ..." - we'll decipher this one in person - this bud is for u!
- "what's 1 juice that does not mix well w/ alcohol ? ..." - joe was impressing us with his mixology knowledge ... except that his suggested answer .... was APPLE juice - poor guy, i quickly fixed him my polish martini to prove him wrong (= zubrowka & ... apple juice). let's just say the glass was empty soon after.
talkin about joe - "tell me more stories" - was his catchphrase for the whole weekend - don't worry joe, i have a feeling u'll b telling us ur own sno-ho stories soon enough.
* also, happy to report that our hause credo of having most beautifully ladies on the mountain will remain for 2006-2007 season
* sun
- great day on the sun - even though only 4 lifts were open, me & Rene found the best spot on the mountain ... "the glades" & had few decent runs up there - although coming back to K1 was ... on the crowded side

ohh well, i did enjoy it for a while and it was the 1st motorcycle i owned & sold (other were stolen ...
2003 silver Suzuki GSX-R 1000 for sale, in good condition.
- 14,500 miles
- clean title, never been wrecked
- Yoshimura RS-3 carbon, slip-on exhaust
- K&N air filter
- nearly New Michelin Power Pilot front and rear tires (those tires
are incredible, ask anyone who has them)
- frame sliders
- smoked screen (screen has a little crack, so I'm including OEM clear
screen if you like)
- fender eliminated w/ custom led turn signals (amber)
Bike comes with the rear seat as well as the cowl, 2 set of keys and
the tank pad.
It's listed for $7,500 on Kelley Blue Book, + $1,000 in accessories.
I'm the original owner, have clean title in hand. All the maintenance
has been performed by Suzuki authorized dealer - just changed break
pads, break fluid and spark plugs in August. This bike rides
flawlessly and is scary fast. Has been stored in the heated garage.

snice i'm getting more & more serious into this photography thing, i
decided to play with HDR a bit ... here r my 1st results (... there are different ways of acomplishing this. For now I only used my default -/+ 2 apenture setting on my camera.
I'm impressed how HDR lets u discover new things in pictures ... things that u don't really see when u take the picture originally
for example the 2nd shot of the oldtimer merc, i love the reflection of the leaves on the side of the car ... so vibrant ...

skylight windows ... i instantly knew - we're going to bear
mountain
convinced gideon & susan to be our "partners in crime" & w/ a little
"ass clown" debutchery on the roads (weekend drivers in ny remind me
of drivers in d.r. ) we went for our little road trip

what an experience ... thanks to david, we decided to finally see what the fuss is about (some of us lived here for 15 years .... & haven't seen it yet).
? - wow - i've seen: french/asian maids, men dresses as women, women dresses as men, homo/hetero, something in-between, almost naked, booty hangin, short / tall, fat / skinny creatures from all over ....
